Thanks Deanin. I'm converting the JSON hash in to a Prawn PDF---similar to how you parsed it in the helper. The issue I'm running in to the using the saved url in the PDF document. Prawns image method can't read that url. Neither can StringIO.open or open-url open(). Pasting that url in to the browser opens the image, however the url is converted from the active storage url to the actual url location on amazon. I'm curious if you have any ideas on how to gain access to the actual image once inside the PDF document and render it inside Prawns image() method? Thanks!

For my backend at the moment all I want to do is learn how to create a restful API for my React project. My project will be a basic crud app nothing fancy. I was wondering is there a steep learning curve when learning Rails? I've been doing some research for backends and I am considering either Golang, Django or Rails. Any thoughts? Thank you Deanin.

is this magic, just 2-3 lines and pagination done! this is insane!, I have worked on django and spring boot and there we have to do more configuration to bring pagination, like from the db way to the frontend. But this was so unreal!

This might be your issue with apexcharts importmap: github rails importmap-rails pull/217 (can't link directly because YT deletes my comment) It now downloads by default and, instead of manually writing in `config/importmap.rb`, you should run `bin/importmap pin apexcharts`

Your mini tutorials are awesome! Is it possible to do a datalist from one model to another with nested? Been stuck on it for a while. Basically, a list of people in a person model and assign a person to a room. Collection select sucks cause you can’t search. Person would be the datalist inside of the room form. Full break down: Person has name, Room has room_number. Billet has person references, room references and checkin/out date. Cant get person attached to billet when using datalist. Hope that makes sense
